Our advanced chemical skin peels are designed to gently resurface the skin, lifting away what’s tired and revealing a fresher, smoother, more radiant complexion beneath. But this isn’t just about appearance - its about encouraging our skin to function at its best, boosting natural cell renewal for long term results you can see and feel.

Chemical peels work by breaking down the bonds that bind the skin cells together and subsequently remove dead skin cells and debris from the epidermis. The peel used is a 40% glycolic acid, and is applied topically (on to the skin), where it will then penetrate into the epidermis, and, because of the strength, into the papillary dermis. Complete peel time is a maximum of ten minutes. The product is then neutralised and recovery balm, serum, moisturiser and SPF are applied.
The LED treatment is a great addition to this treatment.
This treatment is generally pain free, but there may be a very mild stinging sensation felt when the peel is applied. This is normal, and I can assist with cooling of the skin during application. Once neutralised, there is no residual sensation
Skin cell renewal can be around 28 days (increasing as we get older) so I advise a monthly treatment. Chemical peels are great for general maintenance of skin health, following other corrective treatments. They are perfect for promoting and maintaining a strong and healthy skin barrier.
A list of contraindications to this treatment will be discussed with your practitioner prior to appointment. These will also be discussed during consultation along with a medical questionnaire.
These treatments may cause mild erythema (redness) which will calm within a few hours. In the unlikely event of discomfort, paracetamol may be taken (ibuprofen may increase bruising). If erythema (redness) persists then an antihistamine may be taken - contact me for advice 07890182919
Very rarely there may be areas of bruising around the more delicate areas, where a cold compress may be applied.
Using aseptic techniques will help prevent any risks of infection. If any concerns of infection please contact me - 07890182919.
This treatment should not cause any residual erythema (redness), but due to the nature of the treatment, a gentle routine must be adhered to. To assist healing I advise:
